Cool Components™ Fan Kit for 4.5" (120mm) Applications
The Cool Components Fan Kit features two brushless levitation fans for aggressive airflow, low noise and maximum durability. Perfect for replacing old, loud, or AC fans that lack quality and control capabilities, this cooling kit can be configured to pull air out of a cabinet (default and recommended configuration) or push air into the cabinet. The fans are mounted using a special vibration damping system which eliminates noise caused by fan vibration and makes changing direction of the fans easy. And, since it’s powered by a variable DC power supply, you can adjust the voltage for any type of situation.
Applications
The kit can be used in rack manufacturer's faceplates that utilize 2 - 4.5" or 120mm fans. This kit will directly fit into the two fan version of those faceplates and if you have a 3 fan version, use this kit and simply add another fan and short y-cable (available for purchase separately).
Variable Voltage Power Supply
Each cooling system includes a variable AC to DC voltage regulator. You can quickly switch from 7V to 12V to control the speed of the fans for any type of setup.
Noise-Free Cooling
This fan kit emits little to no noise. Its adjustable power supply lets you set the speed of the fans for any situation. For quiet in-room applications, simply lower the fan speed for little to no noise. When silence isn’t a necessity, you can easily switch the fan speed to full power for more cooling capacity.

(1) 500mA Power Supply
(8) Rubber Fan Mounts (In some cases, fan screws may be necessary)
Installation/Assembly

While some installations may vary, generally, you will mount the fans by inserting the rubber mounts into the fan/rack bracket.

Determine the proper direction of the airflow. There is an arrow on the side of the fan that indicates the direction of the airflow.

Once airflow direction is determined, insert the mounts into the mounting holes on the fans and pull the mounts until you feel it “catch”.

Connect the short Y-Cable aligning Tip to + on the connector ends.

Once properly connected, then plug in the power supply to the short-Y cable again, aligning Tip to + and then plug in the power supply.

Once the fans are on, set the voltage to the desired setting with the primary considerations being noise and effectiveness. Typically, the power supplies will be set between 7 and 12V DC.
