Niles® RCA-TT2 Remote Control Anywhere!® Kit with Tabletop Sensor®
The Niles RCA-TT2 Remote Control Anywhere! Kit enables a user to operate their remote controlled audio/video equipment from virtually any location. Now you can place your audio/video (A/V) components out of sight (behind cabinet doors, in the rear of a room, or in a different room) and still conveniently control the system.
Complete System
Everything needed to assemble a complete IR extender system is included in this one box: (1) TS120 Tabletop IR Sensor, which receives/initiates the IR commands and routes them to the Main System Unit; (1) MSU140 Main System Unit, which amplifies and distributes the commands to the infrared flashers, and; (3) MF1 IR MicroFlashers® to transmit the IR commands to the audio/video components. Also included is 50’ of Cat5 cable to complete the installation.
Tabletop IR Sensor
The high-fidelity, wideband design of the IR sensor ensures compatibility with virtually any brand of equipment, even those using faster, more difficult to reproduce IR codes. Equipped with patent-pending universal noise suppression, it operates in virtually any IR environment: near plasma and LCD displays, compact fluorescent lights, and direct sunlight. The user can enjoy the convenience of 20’ to 35’ of remote control range via a printed circuit board that uses surface mount technology (SMT) to ensure reliability, as well as an extra-long 10’ connecting cable and an overall discreet size and tabletop design that blends into any environment.
Main System Unit
The Main System Unit allows for universal compatibility with virtually all brands of audio/video equipment and remote controls, and is complete with versatile connections that accommodate the IR MicroSensor® with a removable screwless connector, plus four IR flashers via 3.5 mm jacks. An IRH610 IR Expansion Hub (sold separately) can be used to provide additional inputs. System feedback LEDs confirm proper operation, while a 3-30V AC/DC status input provides system status to connected sensors and keypads. Additionally, integrated mounting wings support both horizontal and vertical installation of the unit.
MicroFlasher®
Each of the (3) included MicroFlashers mount directly to the IR remote sensor window of audio/video equipment, miniature and discreet – perfect for maintaining a clean appearance. Even though each MicroFlasher covers the IR remote sensor window, the user can still directly operate their equipment using a remote control. A red LED in the flasher housing provides constant operation feedback and the 10’ connecting wire fitted with a 3.5 mm mini-plug, along with a strip of self-adhesive tape provides secure mounting and connection to the MSU.
