Arlington™ KD4550 45° Knock-Out Entry Device (Non-Metallic / White)
The non-metallic KD4550 45° Knock-Out Entry Device provides a smooth, 45° angle for power or low voltage cable connectors installed with a decorator-style wall plate. When installed, it extends the 1/2" knockout at a 45° angle for smooth, easy installation of 1/2" trade size fittings.
45° Angle
The KD4550 releases strain on cables by directing their exit from the plate to the optimum angle. This is especially helpful in tight areas, such as a recessed box behind a wall mount television. In fact, the KD4550 is the perfect companion for the Arlington™ TVBU505 Two-Gang Recessed Electrical Box (sold separately).
Great for High Voltage…
When utilized for power cabling, it is recommended that the ARLKD4550 Entry Device be used with a LPCG50 Strain Relief Connector as well (sold separately). This further directs and protects the power cable from sharp angles that would otherwise stress and potentially damage the cable.
…And Low Voltage
Not only is the KD4550 ideal for high voltage applications, it can also be used as a cable entry device for low voltage cable. Forgoing the Strain Relief Connector, the 1/2” knock-out accommodates multiple AV cords (such as HDMI, VGA, etc.) nicely.
