Cool Components™ TC-AVC-120 Advanced Ventilation Controller
Control high and low voltage ventilation fans automatically with the TC-AVC-120 Advanced Ventilation Controller! The TC-AVC-120 is a programmable thermostat that can be used to control fans such as the Cool Components™ VS-IDF Inline Duct Fan and the VS-RSC Remote System Cooler. Additionally, it can be used to control low voltage fans by hard wiring it to an electrical outlet. This unit enables you to choose and program the appropriate set points for any application. Cool Components™ truly does live up to their name by providing you customized cooling options for your essential electronic components.
Important Note: This is a high voltage product and should only be installed by qualified personnel. All relays and outputs are high voltage, DO NOT CONNECT low voltage devices directly to the unit. This will result in catastrophic damage to equipment and personal injury.
Customized Cooling
The controller features 5 relays that offer a large amount of flexibility and customization within your system. Two relays are programmable; one intended for fan operations and the other for alarm. The three fan relays trigger in relation to the user defined temperature set point. Relay #1 is triggered at the set point, #2 is triggered at approximately 6 degrees higher, and #3 is triggered at approximately 15 degrees higher than the main set point. Ultimately, the two alarm relays #4 and #5 could be used to sound an audible alarm or power emergency fans at a set temperature to protect against a catastrophic failure if installed, for instance, in a rack full of server and switching equipment. All relays output high voltage ONLY – do not connect low voltage products to the unit.
Professional Look
The TC-AVC-120 is fully programmable and has a blue backlit LCD display to show ambient temperature (in Fahrenheit or Celsius) and make programming simple. The controller has a white faceplate and the look of a HVAC Thermostat, which ensures a blended appearance with almost any décor. It is wall mountable and fits a 1-Gang box (rack mount version is coming soon).
Versatility
In addition to a built-in temperature sensor, an optional 20 foot remote sensor is available for added versatility. This may be used when sensing and controlling the temperature in a projector enclosure, rack or other remote location. The TC-AVC-120 controls most high voltage fans, and can be hard wired directly into an electrical outlet to control low voltage fans that are plugged into the outlet.
